Future Cutter (laser cutting)

Finishing lines go on their own page at the end, 0.5pt, coloured by what each line does.

Applies to: Custom shapes, stickers, packaging, folders — all cutting, scoring and perforating

Our Future Cutter creates custom shapes, cut-outs, creases and perforations without traditional die tooling — flexible and cost-effective for unique printed products. It handles everything from a simple shape to an intricate pattern with crisp, clean edges. All cutting jobs are set up this way.

Step by step

  1. Create a separate finishing page

All cut lines, score lines, perforations and fold lines go on their own page at the end of your PDF. No artwork, images, text or background colours on that page.

  2. Set the line colours

Every finishing line uses a 0.5pt stroke in the colour for its job — see the table below. Not sure which you need? Email design@revolutionprint.com.au.

  3. Build score lines correctly

Score lines must be two parallel solid lines with a 1mm gap — never dashed. Duplicate the score line, bring the correctly positioned one to the front, use Align to set the spacing, then delete the middle line so only two remain.

  4. Save as PDF

Export print-ready with all pages in order — artwork first, the finishing page last.

Line colours

Every line 0.5pt, on the finishing page, in the CMYK colour for its job.
